PEKAES opens a new Customs Agency in Świnoujście
Our X2 Asia Global member, PEKAES, a leading logistics service provider, has just informed about the opening of the Customs Agency in Świnoujście, which will handle imported and exported goods. The company plans to offer new customs services for its clients.
The opening of the Customs Agency in Świnoujście is related to the rising demand for customs services and increasing cooperation with Germany and Scandinavian countries, particularly Norway. PEKAES is reinforcing its system of customs agencies also in connection with the changes about to be brought on by the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union. The company has all the necessary permits and procedures required to manage the exchange of goods with non-EU countries.
“At the moment, the Customs Agency in Świnoujście accepts customs declarations using standard procedures. However, along with the growth of our business and depending on the needs of our clients, we plan to introduce further facilities arising from the Union Customs Code to make the customs procedures easier – this will include, in the first place, simplified procedures for transit and export” says Marek Tkaczyk, Director of the International Network of PEKAES.
The growing volume of freights carried to and from non-EU states also presents new, interesting challenges to logistics service providers. One such challenge, apart from transport itself, is how to provide the clients with a wide range of customs services. PEKAES now has 7 locations where it provides customs services, i.e. Szczecin, Gdynia, Warsaw, Czechowice-Dziedzice, Błonie, Białystok and the newly-opened Customs Agency in Świnoujście at 1 Dworcowa Street.
“We begin 2020 with major investments. After opening the Branch in Mińsk Mazowiecki for our clients and expanding our warehouse space in Mazovia, we are opening another Customs Agency office in Świnoujście. Therefore, as announced, we are proceeding with the investments scheduled for this year with respect to the expansion of our infrastructure, and I assure everyone that this is only the beginning of further dynamic growth” explains Maciej Bachman – President of the Board of PEKAES.
