CR Logistic has successfully coordinated the multimodal transport of a self-propelled modular transporter (SPMT) from the Netherlands to Haiphong, Vietnam, supporting the movement of specialised equipment used in heavy industry, shipbuilding, oil and gas, and offshore operations.

The project began with inland waterway transportation from the shipper's facility in the Netherlands to the port of Zeebrugge, Belgium. The SPMT was loaded onto the inland vessel using a mobile crane before being transferred at Zeebrugge, where terminal operations were carried out in accordance with CR Logistics' loading instructions.

The equipment was subsequently loaded onto a Ro/Ro vessel for the ocean voyage to Haiphong, demonstrating the effective coordination of inland waterway, port handling and roll-on/roll-off shipping within a single transport solution.
