Vector Global Logistics has successfully completed the transport of a Claas Lexion 590R combine harvester from Canada to Germany using a multimodal road and RoRo freight solution.
The project involved oversized road transportation from Canada to the United States, followed by a RoRo ocean shipment to Germany. Due to the dimensions of the cargo, careful planning was required throughout the operation. Loading activities were also dependent on weather conditions, as the equipment could only be handled during dry conditions, requiring close coordination and operational flexibility to maintain the project schedule.
The shipment demonstrates the effective use of multimodal transport for oversized agricultural machinery, combining cross-border road transport with RoRo shipping to support the movement of heavy equipment between North America and Europe.
Congratulations to Enrique Alvarez and the team at Vector Global Logistics on the successful execution of this project cargo shipment.
